Joshua Nakazawa

After earning performance degrees from Manhattan School of Music, Southern Methodist University and the Royal Conservatory of Music, Joshua Nakazawa won a position with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra in 2015. Currently residing in Honolulu, in addition to playing full time with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and Hawaii Opera Theater, Joshua frequently collaborates with ukulele superstar Jake Shimabukuro as well as the vocally captivating Ron Artis II. He is passionate about fortifying culture, music, and arts in the Honolulu community and teaches cello in the El Sistema and Waldorf programs and also maintains a private studio. He is excited to bring you Mana Music Hawaii; a network that shares the incredible musical talent in Hawaii with you so that your experience here is wonderful and meaningful whether you are a visitor or a local!
