FAQ

Electricity and Amplification:

The most natural sound is one without amplification as string instruments were built to project. However in some instances where an electric piano is required, or sound from the strings is being fed through the house, the client or host will be responsible for the speaker system, microphones, and power supply. Electric piano is the only exception where only a power supply is needed.

Playing Outdoors

Since many of our instruments are antiques, it is important to take care of them and protect them from the elements. If the venue is outdoors, it is up to the client/host to provide a cover for the musicians.

Do we travel to the other islands?

Yes we do, so long as our flights and travel expenses are covered!

What to have ready on site for us?

All we need are armless chairs for the musicians! Since many of our instruments are antiques, it is important to take care of them and protect them from the elements. If the venue is outdoors, it is up to the client/host to provide a cover for the musicians.

Changing an event time

Once a contract is signed the time is finalized. However if the musicians are all available for the new time requested and there is no change in the length of time then there are no additional fees. If you would like the musicians to stay longer, and they are all available, then a $100/musician per hour overtime fee will be put into effect.

What can we wear?

We can wear any kind of formal attire including Aloha!! But usually a conservative black dress/ Suit and tie.
